Rain Lords

The Rain Lords are by far the oldest gods of Ixachillan, but very few testimonies of them are left. Once they lived in the land, in the paradisiacal country of Tamoachan, sending the sky waters to men in exchange for tribute.

Lesser gods and were jaguars served them (…) about what they really were, facts are scarce, but they are implied to be all related. They were never seen without their fanged-snake masks. Their height was two or three times of a normal man; and so their proportions, excepting the deformed legs and feet (…)

After the war against their former servants, Rain Lords fled from Tamoachan (…) and resided into a secret realm beyond the sea. From there, some humans were chosen to rule in their name (…)

Now it is ignored if they left any trace, they left again or simply fade into legend.

As you see, my version of the Rain Lords is heavily based on precolumbian gods of rain, being Aztec Tlaloc the best known. However, Rain God had been praised for millenia, long before them, and having different names among different peoples. So it made sense for me to do many of them, sharing some common features.
